You told me this before, Ash, (only after we'd known each other for more than a decade) and it broke my heart to hear it the first time and somehow even moreso now. It's brave of you to speak about it publicly. It's important to share this as a way to heal and as a way to touch people whose own lives are difficult. Your story will help others understand their own lives better and be able to bear their own difficulties with greater forbearance, knowing that you survived it all to tell your story with confidence and pride.
