You can hire people you know to help them but are they really doing their part? Quite easy concept to grasp really. He should have talked this through with the employees and the guy though. Blagoveschensk, December 2004...one year exactly before Mark Seidenfeld arrived there, I was there too, although for an entirely different reason. There is really only one reason in my mind why any American with half a brain would willingly visit Blagoveschensk, especially in December: to bring home a tiny little 17 month old boy from a bleak grey Orphanage, and call him my SON. I spent 6 weeks there, trying to get him home. I know all about extortion, and left-over communism, and corruption too, especially in the courts. Let me just say that Mark is a very fortunate man. And today, as I look at my gorgeous 19 year old boy, I know in my heart it was worth it. And like Mark, I also learned that love is the most powerful thing on Earth. Even if you have to travel 3/4ths the way around the world to find it.

His girlfriend is a wonderful example of what love should be. How many "liberated " western women would show such loyalty and devotion to her man? Very few, I expect.

How lucky was he, in every corrupt system, there is an honest judge.

Lets not forget the true hero here, the judge. She could have easily tore this guy up, instead she was better than 90% of judges in the USA.

It's because of these type of riged kangaroo courts that my family moved to the United states. Finding an honest judge in Kazakhstan or any other former USSR country is like being adopted by Brad Pitt and Angelina. It doesn't happen for everyone

So I learned that Kazakhstan have a better justice system then in USA. In USA when you buy something like the guy in Kazakhstan did, and you find out that you were taking for ride like that guy. In USA you are on your own.

This is why we in the USA must guard our principle of rule of law. Societal rules and regulations should follow the law and not the person. Justice should be blind!
