I love how after reading and watching series a lot of times you can really see that Izaya just needs normal life and friends. He is so fucking jelous of so much things in series. Keeps trying to take Namie to various places but she keeps saying no to him. He has Shizu-chan complex and wants to beat him up but at the same time spend time with him. He is such a twisted chatacter. It really reminds of real people in real life. Yeah he is "damn flea" and I hate him for what he is doing to the poor Ikebukuro citizens but at the same time I love him as a character he presents. Does that even make any sense at all?

listening to this song, it really makes me sad that the only side of izaya we see is him being manipulative. this song obviously states that there is more to him than that. all we ever see is him as a twisted mind, and i really wish we couldve seen more of this side of him, someone who wants humans(or maybe a specific human to love him back? who knows) to love him back. he may be the antagonist, but theres more to him then just messing with people

I really think Izaya's singing about Shizuo here, and not just because I ship Shizaya. I think he's singing about wishing that Shizuo could forget him so that he could meet him again, because he wants to start over with Shizuo and see if their relationship will become anything but hatred. I even think that he wanted to become friends with him when he saw Shizu the first time in high school...remember the scene when he was looking down at him before Shinra introduced them? He had an eye for him before he knew him. But then Shizu just simply said that he didnt like Izaya when they got introduced, I can imagine that made him sad /: Soo in order to still get his attention...he decided to mess around with him and annoy him, cause he thought he would have no chance in becoming friends with him. And to not show anyone how deeply hurt he truly is because of this, he simply says he hates him, cause he thinks Shizu hates him... its actually pretty sad

Yes, yes he does! I imagine he never wanted to be enemies with Shizuo to begin with. He had an eye on him even before they got introduced to each other (when Izaya looked down to him in high school) and already found him to be more interesting than his average human. But Shizuo never gave him a chance to properly prove himself and instead turned him down immediately by saying he doesnt like him when Shinra introduced them.. I believe Izaya is referring to how since everyone has already met him, they have already formed opinions of him. Obviously since they were not very good opinions, he wants them to forget so everyone could start all over. I believe he is mostly talking to Shizuo at that part since it was hate at first sight but Izaya wasn't the one who instigated their kill on sight relationship.

E Roesler Well, that line is really confusing. If he meant Shizuo with that line he possibly pointed out that he won't let Shizuo forget him... Like: 'When you're going to forget me I will meet you again so you won’t forget who I am/ If you have forgotten me already I'll meet you and make me unforgettable for you'. But that 'change-the-point of-view-thing' makes propably more sense than what I thought... but, at the same time it doesn't.
