@@TheNitr01 Dang I just came back to this. Yeah, couldn't agree more, Awakening had that special spark that no other FE game seems to have been able to produce like it did. It will always be one of my Top 2 (or possibly 1st) favorite games of all time.

@@Kruzeda The first time I played the game Chrom forcefully married me without my say on it. BUT if it weren't for that, I'd definitely have married Tiki (I don't even know if it'd be possible now that I'm thinking about it?). Either way, it's a wonderful game, and Tiki is the best character of the franchise after her appearance in awakening.

Just recently were the remake Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia released. I cannot say that I am super interested in it. I think it looks better than Fates and Awakening, but considering I have not even finished one of the Fates games, I do not see much point in getting a new Fire Emblem. Tbh, I kinda lost a bit of my interest for the series upon the release of Fates. I got the impression that Fire Emblem has become Nintendos new money generator, and I am afraid that new Fire Emblem games will be released too regularly. I do not see much point in playing their new installments if there is bound to come another installment that does everything better. It makes the aging of the series go towards the worse. Fire Emblem is not the only series with this problem. Aside from really big series I definitely do not like (like Assassin Creed, Call of Duty, Battlefield) there are also series I do like, but which I feel will not age so good because new installments are released too regularly (like Monster Hunter and the Tales of games). I consider a good sequel not one which does every aspect better than the installment before it, but instead changes the overall themes of the game and tries to do something new. A good example of a video game series with very good sequels is Zelda. Every entry in Zelda have its own art and sound design, and overall a completely different feel than its predecessor.

fates is the worst game, you should have tried any other fire emblem except fates, that was the mistake, in the FE comunity no one likes fates, just so you know...

@@marcelobriones9521 Fates is ok, still the worst FE game by a longshot, but I can't help but like characters like Flora, Oboro, Azura, etc, even though the game brushed them aside (well, Flora was brushed aside...AND SHE'S MY FAVORITE ;-;) Gameplay though is what got me addicted to it ;-;
