When you speak of sitting back and watching the game. Then of being amazed at the way every citzen, thier wants and needs, is tracked and simulated. That blows my mind as well, however it also makes me think back to my first computers and the early Amstrad computers my father used to use to run his business spreadsheets on. I kid you not when I say that he would tell it to change page and then get up go put the kettle on, wait for it to boil, make a cup of tea and come back to see if it had changed yet. That of course was back in the days when my very first computer had it's games loaded on tapes. What a joy it was in the mid 80's when I bought an Amstrad 6128 and it had a disk drive and a whooping 128K and stopped my mate going on and on about how good his Commadore 64 was.

God damn. You hooked me up for your series, I just finish my 2 day marathon so now I am up to date ;) So now I think I can answer for few of your questions about this series. (This is my point of view on videos and it is up to creator to balance all suggestions - that is the hard part ;) ) 1. I like longer videos 45-60min is something that is not lacking in content but also after 60min is tiring, and after 45min viewer my start loosing focus. 2. I like that you explaining how stuff works and why you that this way, yet as you say it yourself, you are quite chaotic. I do not mind if you need to jump around the city to keep stuff working, but you could just cut out your silence. When you are processing you thoughts on how to plan stuff, change your mind and so on, you can't avoid it while recording. However you can get away with it by cutting this moments out. Less silence and dull moments makes it more engaging. OR make it as short time lap with maybe some comment? 3. Time laps are also cool things (like you already did while planing 2nd "city"), showing your building process and struggle to make damn stuff to work but also value viewer time. (I admit that I used a lot of right arrow while watching ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) I wonder how far you get in this series, I'll be watching you 🧐

I think it would be cool to see a huge forklift network taking specific wastes from the sorting facility to their unique storages where you deal with each one. But a huge forklift backbone would be cool. Or maybe some cable cars for waste?

Amazing Serie Charlie! consider that in 2 days i already view 17 episodes! one question: if steel is by far the most expensive material, it would not be a good idea to start a campain focus on first of all producing Steel? or it is way to complicated to achieve when you start?

It takes a LOT of workers and infrastructure, but if you have coal and iron close together near your starting location, by all means, start that soon! - For me... those resources are quite far away, and so I need to build infrastructure to handle it. Remember, in realistic mode especially, you need a LOT of people for things, and that means you need more things to support those people before they can begin to produce anything for you! If you want to import their essentials while you build out steel, it can work, but it'll be tough

It is not, it is very expensive. I pay $205 a week for daycare which is on the cheap side.

burning mixed waste leaves behind mixed waste that includes ash, con waste and the various metals which you can sort out later. from other videos i've seen that is the case. not sure if you lose some of the recyclables though

Are you going to use nuclear power in the future since you have power as a major export? I'm really enjoying this series.
@CharliePryor
@CharliePryor Жыл бұрын
Will focus on our own internal supply lines first. Nuclear is a very expensive, very involved, person and time-intensive process to get into

Interesting how you are doing everything at the same time in your republic. So many industries, when I play I am more focused on smaller number of industries in the beginning. For example right now it’s 1986 and I only building my first oil refinery 😂.

I've noticed in Winter that traffic will go through bus stops if the road near them isn't plowed. I just chalk it up that the bus stops don't slow down from snow.
