Wondering how these vents are supposed to work…watch this I’ll show how !

Just showing the different settings of the center vents on all Mercedes W220 s class 2000-2006
Make sure to keep it set at ⏹⏹ to have all vents receiving equal air distribution.
This also Applies to the rear vents setting as well

I have a clk w209. That wheel seems to be stuck. I get warm air out the top vents and feet but cold air blowing out the front and rear main vent. Would that knob be stuck in the cold position?

well im not 100% sure on a clk . but on a w220 i would say the whole center unit may need replacing.. but i would strongly recommend getting a climate control unit obd2 reading done ,to help find any fault codes identifying current failures within the system..mercedes benz are 60% hardware and 40% software,so 💻 it first… it will become expensive and frustrating so quickly trying to blindly diagnosed these cars issues. hopefully that helps u out 🫡

Do you know why the heat turns on when starting the car ? Even though the heat was shut off when shutting off the car ?

You can do diagnostic check on the climate control unit.. and see what error codes are showing.. I have a video that show how to do that. And hopefully that will start leading u to the issue..

how do u get more air from the side

It depends on the temperature setting and where u have the vents set at. If you have it set to automatic more air will blow from the center vents during the summer to help cool the car. But during the winter the outside vents blow more air to heat up the car. Its best to let leave the car in auto setting for best comfort inside the car. But if u still need to just have side vents blowing. Turn the air flow dial to the two squares And close all the other vents

Oh I think ur talking about my tape player adapter i use to play music from my iPhone..in the 2000-2002 s class the 6 disc cd changer is in the trunk on the driver side..mine still works surprisingly 💿👍🏻

benz Mechanic okay so , my rear climate control cuts on and off.. and when it does turn on , it blows nothing but hot air i have 2003 s600 btw

Well that could be a number of things wrong. Blower motor failing , bad fuses , bad air temperature sensor, valve leak, fluid buildup in line ,electrical wiring harness issue ...on and on ! , . I would say start by getting a obd2 code scanner. See what faults your Mercedes is indicating.. this could help narrow down the search for the problem.. But if all else fails I would suggest taking it to Mercedes dealership to have them check it out. These cars are overly complicated ! And become a huge headache 🤦🏼‍♂️ trying to randomly diagnose, fix and repair
