This video is about: Nationality, cultural identity and mithology. Every scenes or frame showcased in the video has strong meanings. Thanks for checkinf it out. In case you get it wrong: the claim 'Indonesia is the most beautiful land in the Universe' at the beginning of the video, I guess was added for marketing purposes only. We all believe that every places are equally beautiful. If you'd like to understand what this video is about, here are some details. I may not be 100% correct, but at least it'll give you a much deeper understanding about the messages that Alffy Rev, Novia Bachmid and Doni Salmanan are trying to deliver. MOST PEOPLE WERE ASKING: ARE THOSE FLOATING ISLANDS REALLY EXIST ? Of course no. What this video trying to tell is that we have plenty of unique historical sites spread over many different islands from west to the eastern part of the country. Of course they're not floating in real except the Pura Ulun Danu in Bali which situated on the lake. Those floating buildings are; Rumah Gadang (Sumatera), Rumah Tongkonan (Tana Toraja), Borobudur Buddhist temple (Magelang), and Pura Ulun Danu (Bali). If I'm not mistaken, the Goddess statue where the singer starts her singing is at Royal Pitamaha, Ubud, Bali. Again, All of the buildings and nature sceneries are real, but yes, CGI effects applied to make it looks more cinematic. WHAT ARE THOSE HEADPIECES SHE WORE? Those headpieces (crowns) she wore in general called TIARA for females or MAHKOTA for males. In the past you must wear those kind of headpieces to identify yourself as a royal family member. Both Tiara and Mahkota are normally made of gold or silver with diamond installed in the middle of it. Every diamond placed in a Tiara or Mahkota can't be just a diamond. It has to be one with magical power. Headpiece is one the most important outfits for almost every ethnic group in Indonesia. Even more important than shirts. In my original tribe and many others, we don't wear shirt for males, We usually wear 3 pieces of sarong (a loose cloth) to cover our waist up to the knee (No shirts on) and of course a headpiece. In my own tradition (Sasak in Lombok) headpiece isn't just an accessory. It is actually more as a symbol that you appreciate your head as the most important part of your body and to prove that you are responsible to protect it even from the heat. Headpiece is the very first thing you wear when you're born. Your parent will have it made for you a month before you even born. Nowadays, anyone can wear those kind of royal headpieces during their wedding ceremony and many other special occasions. Traditional costumes worn in the video: 1. From the ethnic group (Tribe) of Dayak in Kalimantan called Ta'a (for females) Sapei Sapaq (for males). Their headpieces are made of Hornbill feathers. This is just one of the many traditional costumes belong to the Dayak tribe. 2. I think is from the Kohongian tribe in Sulawesi Utara. This just one of the many of them in Sulawesi Utara. 3. Based on the headpiece she wore, I think it is from the Asmat tribe called Sali made of bark and decorated with cassowary and bird of paradise feathers. Again, there are so many other traditional costumes in Papua. 4. Kebaya Labuh from the province of Riau. 5. Limpapeh Rumah Nan Gadang from the province of West Sumatera. 6. Payas Agung, Bali. 7. Kebaya Brokat from West Java. 8. Bula Molik (Crescent) made of silver and Gold, NTT. WHAT ARE THEY SINGING? (Please refer to the traditional outfits as well because the songs and outfits represent the region where they originated) This video showcases only 9 of traditional folk songs from 9 tribes out of 1430 tribes existed in Indonesia. The main song is Bagimu Negeri - One of our national songs. NOTE: As an Indonesian, there is no way you not gonna cry when singing or listening to that song. It is our oaths to the mother land. Our promises to the nation. And as the answer to the prayers of our parent which Alffy described perfectly through that young mother singing lullaby to her newly born son. A lullaby can't only be just a nice song to bring you to sleep, it consists a prayer, wishes and hopes of our parent to see us grow as someone useful to the nation. Nothing can make them happier than that. By the way, here's the list of the folk songs featured: 1. Paris Barantai from Kalimantan Selatan 2. Si Patokaan from Sulawesi Utara 3. Sajojo from Papua 4. Soleram from Riau 5. Janger from Bali 6. Manuk Dadali from Jawa Barat 7. Anak Kambing Saya from Nusa Tenggara Timur 8. Kampuang Nan Jauh di Mato from Sumatera Barat 9. Tak Lelo Lelo Ledung from Jawa Tengah National song featured is Bagimu Negeri. WHAT IS THAT TRADITIONAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENT HE'S PLAYING? That musical instrument is a traditional Dayak instrument called Sape. You must check out UYAU MORI playing Sape SOLO which will bring you into the world of true relaxations. WHO DID THE SPEECH AND WHAT IS IT ABOUT? It was the original proclamation speech done by our first president Soekarno. WHAT IS THE SYMBOL THAT AWAKEN THE DRAGON? It is called Surya Majapahit or known as Dewata Nawa Sanga - The 9 Gods that protect the universe from 9 different dimension compass wise. WHAT ARE THOSE CREATURES? The creatures you see at the end of the video are GARUDA and a Dragon known as ANTABOGA from the mythology of the ancient Majapahit kingdom . Antaboga is believed to be the guardian of the underearth dimension. That's why you will find it featured in many of our traditional carvings, crafts, and even in our architectural designs. Meanwhile, Garuda is the main symbol of our country (You can't really showcase it for commercial purposes because It's protected by law). Garuda itself is a huge gigantic bird that can only be found in Indonesia. And is believed by the Hindu as the main vehicle of God Vishnu. WHERE THEY SHOT THE VIDEO? 1. GWK - Garuda Wishnu Kencana in Bali which known as one of the biggest statues in the world. 2. Royal Pita Maha, Ubud 3. Taman Nusa, Bali 4. Ubud Valley 5. Balerung, Ubud. NOTE: - There are thousands of 'mysteries' yet to be unfold in Indonesia (Nusantara). - Alffy Rev is a musical genius. A multi-instrumentalist. He's a producer, director, and an editor. If you are curious about why there is some subtitle and some not, because Novia is singing in many different "local languages". It is like a compilation of many traditional song from each region of Indonesia, and the song is uses each of the local languages. If you are aware, you might also notice that Novi is always changing clothes as the song is changing. That means Novi is using the traditional clothes of each region of the song. So, as the song changing in languages, the clothes are also changes. Indonesia has more than 300 ethnics, and each ethnic have more than 1 languages, so that make in result that Indonesia has more than 1000 local languages, that's why Alffy didn't put subtitle when it comes to traditional song. Because as an Indonesians, we don't even know and speak all of that thousand of languages, but one thing for sure we are share the united language called "Bahasa Indonesia", which means Indonesian language. So if we go all over Indonesia, as long as we can speak Bahasa fluently, we can comunicate to each other. As for foreigner, just have to speak little Bahasa, and English fluently, I think is enough to travel around Indonesia. Because we also can speak English, even though not everybody is fluent in English, that's why if foreigner can speak little Bahasa is necessary to help it.

the songs are traditional songs that represents each tribes which the traditional clothes & cultures shown in the video consecutively every time the songs change, it seems that the tribes shown are chosen from several provinces which are known to have relatively larger & iconic tribes from all over Indonesia, there are tribes whose people are famous bc in the 'old days' they often move & sail around the islands in Indonesia to trade, there are also tribes that are famous because they are known to have such large number of people, vast kingdom area, wide shipping area, wide trading area, there are also tribes that are famous because their people are known to be diligent & diligent, tribes that are famous for their agricultural products, as well as livestock products bc their fertile territory, etc. and about the songs again, bc each song is a traditional song of each regions i think it's pretty clear how we can tell/recognize that each song has their own distinctive rhythm & different traditional languages that represents each of their tribe's culture i think it's pretty clear that this project was made upon Alffy's team's intention to showcase the various kinds of cultures that Indonesia has & how united the diversities itself, that they can live together, complemented each other, mingled in society, side by side, in peace. the video was released on 17th of August --which is Indonesia's independence day-- last year, so yea it's pretty obvious what kind of narration they wanted to put out/tell on such meaningful day
