I used to live/work in Jeff, also. I am going to be honest though...I've relocated all over MO for my job & Jeff was my least favorite place to live, of all. This is a personal opinion, only, but for having the Capital, there is not a whole lot to do there. Work is govt., fast food or health care. No variety. The Capital Mall is adorable, but so tiny you can fit it in your pocket. On top of all of that (again, only being honest), for the size of Jeff (not that big), it & Columbia have a serious crime problem It may not be as much now, but quite a few years ago, if looking at, per capita, Columbia had more serious crime/murders than STL or KC. You may be a bit biased since you live there, but it is not that great of a place, as far as great places in Missouri.

It’s nice to see some recognition, but the shame now is the “outsiders” if you will coming in and literally trashing the country sides and waters, YES! I’ve seen it, Illinois people, California people, St. Louis people, yes we call them “outsiders” because for one they are NOT FRIENDLY people for the most part. I’ve been here all my life and A LOT has changed. You’ve covered some beautiful areas, now travel the small town back roads, where we’re trying to keep it simple yet others want to trash… and local law enforcement could care less anymore. Webster county is one of them too. Bad place to live, so we moved…. Southern areas are taken over by out of state peeps too… but they come here for all the wrong reasons, that’s another sad part. Spile Lake? I don’t understand why that was featured. That’s just what amounts to a 27 acre pond outside of Horton. There are so many other things in Missouri worth pointing out, natural or man-made, that should make a video like this. Having been born and raised in Kansas City, I just feel compelled to point out that I left there because I wanted to move somewhere that was a more outdoor friendly area. I never found Kansas City as such and certainly never felt comfortable or safe, when out walking. Trying out any of the so-called hiking trails around the city was never safe and I’m sure it’s riskier now. St Louis and Kansas City have that concern in common sadly.

It’s the same with a lot of our historical places. Elvis Presley’s birthplace was not on the east side of town. It was located in the heart of the ghetto on church street, In the Hood! Yet, the city couldn’t have tourist getting robbed etc in the hood so they moved the house to the east side of town and sold a different story. Over time ppl believed the hype…… Yet when my grandmother was alive she went to school with him and said he lived on church street. She would go to his house and hang out with all the other kids. Grandmas house was right on the rail road tracks. Whites still live on one side and blacks on the other. You have a few of the other types on the opposite sides yet, the majority of the community is still the same way it was decades ago. Same old small one room house shacks as some would call it. Yet, if everyone slept in the same room now DHS would have a fit….. Now that they have cleaned all the old shacks out of the east side. You can tell how out of place it really is!

Misswd so much more of Missouri and wasted time on nothing places. Springfield, Ste. Genevieve, St. Joseph, Richmond, and Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge. Thumbs down and a waste of an hour.

How do you make a video about Missouri and don’t even mention the capital city? Absolutely nothing about the capital ! There nothing about Springfield mo or Branson. This is really disappointing.

We apologize for making you feel bad. Unfortunately, we don't have detailed footage of the capital city. If we get it, we will include more in the next video. ❤️❤️

There are far more errors than facts in this video.. Just scrap this video, and start over. Not wirk watching. You missed everything that is the "true essense" of Missouri. Did you just make things up as you went, or did you have some details, but scrambled them up? Why did you even bother with Kirkwood? It is insignificant. Seriously, why did you not use Missouri music? Columbia is basically insignificant. Why include it? Mizzou is inly worth a footnote.

We’re sorry that the video didn’t meet your expectations. We understand the importance of getting the facts right and highlighting the true essence of Missouri. Your comments will definitely help us improve future content, and we’ll take them into consideration for better accuracy and detail. 😭🥹🥹

Whoever did this promotional video must have been very well paid to ignore the crime in St. Louis, and Kansas City. The rural parts of the state are wonderful, (we live in Lebanon) but the cities are not.

You could say that about any state.

It should have been called the wonders of St Louis! There is so much more to Missouri than St Louis area! Terrible representation of MO!!!😡

We’re truly sorry that our video didn’t fully capture the essence of Missouri beyond St. Louis, and we completely understand your frustration. We’ll work hard to include a more balanced representation of the state in future videos. Thank you for your honest feedback. 🥹😭
