Wonders of the Solar System (The Thin Blue Line) - Music by Sheridan Tongue

When working on the music for the BBC TV Series Wonders of the Solar System (and Wonders of the Universe), I never imagined that the shows would become such a global success.
I still receive emails from people around the world asking about the music in various scenes and parts. It was an incredibly enjoyable series to score - and as much work went in the music production as it did the composition - I wanted every track to sound like it could have been from a record.
This introduction track took a long time to get right - there are many elements - and they all had to fit to picture.
Live drums by Jon Opstad really gave it a fantastic feel.

This has always been my favorite theme from the show, I always love the guitar riffs in it and the piano themes from the show too. I wish the music from episode 2 with the star trails was featured in the soundtrack that's my other favorite theme.

I've always loved this intro track to the point of listening to it directly from KZbin everywhere I went to back in 2010-2011! Well, I still do it to this day! This track has such an awesome feel to it. Everything seems to fit right in place, and then it grows in this crescendo and adds something special to anything you might be doing or looking at as it plays. It has such incredible power and makes you feel almost in another dimension for a couple of minutes! Thanks a lot for that! I've already liked and subscribed!
