Confirmed there is no display which is a very bad choice because often when I'm watching it is nice to check and see how much is left to run. BUT on the plus side this thing is the fastest loading player I've ever had and is nice and quiet too. I've only watched a blu-ray on it so far so can't comment on the 4K aspects yet.

@@WondersChannel I also have the Sony A80L oled the picture is real nice when playing uhd movies. The M2 also has Dolby vision so the colours will be even more vibrant than the M1.

I have the M1 which also doesn't have a digital screen or Dolby Vision.The only model with this chassis with the screen is the ES model which is way more expensive than the M1 or M2.🤦🏿‍♂️

Aaagghh now I wish I'd got that one - although the What HiFi review (not that they're gods of reviews, but they're a good marker for release dates of things) is dated 2017 so it's 2 years older than the final Sony player - and doesn't have Dolby Vision. I've ordered the Resident Evil steelbook edition - which apparently was updated to have Dolby Vision - so I might just have to stick with what I got now. It's a struggle when you want to own your films in 2024!
