Okay so, I can't be the only one thinking of the movie Il Mare? The mailbox with the letters, the sea, the setting, so many references. For those who haven't seen Il Mare, basically its two people sharing letters through a mailbox and they fall in love. However, they are in different timelines so they cant reach each other. I recommend watching it, its a good movie. Also, I love the vibe of this song and the lyrics. "I'll change into a forest and hold you forever". Woah. Furthermore, when he walks in the forest he find the music equipment(microphone, drums, etc). It's sort of like he's saying he wants to hold onto his music/his sound forever. However this could just be me overthinking. Another idea: the music video starts with him to listening to music on a bed. Perhaps the whole music video is inside his head? So like its representing the feeling you get when you hear a song you haven't heard in awhile and you realize you still resonate with the lyrics and the beat. The song remained in your heart all those years. Its either that, or the song reminds him of someone(his family) and brings back memories of them. The song makes him realize that he "hasn't seen you[them] in so long". Sorry if this was long, I just overthinking- aren't I?
