(WONKY ATTACK) Federal Signal 2001 SRN Monthly Siren Test in Bloomington, IL (8/6/2024)

I gave myself 3 choices of where to go for a test this month: here, back to Pontiac for a 2t22, or Decatur for an RM130. Ultimately chose here because I wanted to get this siren before school starts up, and this siren sits directly on the schools front lawn (I hate filming sirens directly in front of schools during the school year or right next to someones house, makes me feel like I'm being invasive). This is also the only other 2001 in the BloNo system besides the one I filmed in February next to Normal Community HS.
Something happened today that I haven't seen since living in Arlington Hieghts; Bloomington Fire Dept actually going out and sitting under sirens to monitor them during testing. As I was driving on Washington St I saw a fire chief's SUV heading towards the T128 closest to me at the corner of Washington & Towanda. Driving down Center St I saw a ladder truck positioned at the corner of Main & Stewart, facing the 1000T on Main St (sidenote: I feel like this Tbolt is next on the chopping block). Then I turned on to Danbury Dr & saw an ambulance sitting in Pepper Ridge Elementary's northern parking lot. I'm sure he was nice but I lowkey had a rough night & woke up to some unfortunate news this morning and didn't feel like being bothered, so I went to the south lot.
Test started on time at 10:00:04 AM. Usually unless they mess up (note December & February) BloNo usually does anywhere between 10-30 seconds of Alert but today they did a full minute. Then it was time for the full 3 minute cycle of attack. As you can see there was a hiccup when it initially started up again. Then the wave went down...and then back up...and stayed up. The ambulance dude then pulled off right at that point. The SRN decided to finish the test in alert and instead of 3 minutes it only did 1. When this siren ends you can hear the rest of the T128s doing attack just fine. Didn't really hear the Main St Thunderbolt though...
