@@mikell5087 The best version I heard was in 1976 at the St Paul Civic Center! Yea because I was there. Live concerts add so much more to the recorded albums because of the vision that is added. Michael Llewellyn we weren’t all alive and sentient for that particular 3 year stretch between when zeppelin III was released and the concert I referred to. However, I really don’t see the issue with watching a live performance of a song you have heard the studio version of. You nailed it! Always analyzing, analyzing....often says in a song "I'm confused, I don't understand what this song is about" like most of us. We get into most songs because we like the tune, melody, beat etc....we don't always know what a song means, nor does it have to have meaning. Sometimes or often a song does but in his desire to always have to 'understand' what the song is about, he misses the actual song!

Great reaction! In the beginning if you listen close you can hear a squeaking sound from John Bonham's bass pedal. You can hear it on a few other songs too. Today stuff like that would be cleaned up but back in the 70's it was all analog recording and meant to be raw and true.
@rwfrench66GenX3 жыл бұрын
BTW, after Zeppelin broke up the guitarist Jimmy Page formed a band with the lead singer of Bad Company called The Firm and they had a couple of albums and one of their songs is called "Satisfaction Guaranteed" and the music video for it is them playing in a dive club in some tropical woods and Jimmy plays the guitar solo with a beer bottle!

Probably an old speed king. I started out with em.. been using them again lately. They seemed outdated, but, man they really have great action and return.
@mikephillips88103 жыл бұрын
I think I read that when the first CDs came along Jimmy Page cleaned up a lot of the recordings and took all those squeaks and noises out. Years later, with it all sounding too clean and sterile and both Jimmy and fans not that happy with it, he left it all in for future versions!
@If6turnsouttobe93 жыл бұрын

All these shots at Brad lol. Anyone who has seen this channel should KNOW a very long jam-type song like this wouldn't be his thing. I'm grateful he doesn't fake enthusiasm.
@mikephillips88103 жыл бұрын
I get that, but does Brad HAVE to always get the lyrics up and try to analyze them to death? This is a simple blues-rock. The lyrics and story ain't complicated.
@gregmyers88973 жыл бұрын
First few vids of theirs i watched I thought the same shit, "why don't he just enjoy the song?". After watching more though I've gotten to where I actually get a chuckle out of him trying to break down song meanings even though its his first time hearing the song lol. She jams and he goes deep trying to figure them out and half the time he's nowhere close but it still cracks me up for some reason. But yeah, reading their comments it seems like people like to go at Brad in the same comments that they be trying to simp on Lex 😂
