WooCommerce PayPal Payments setup & Settings | Quick Tips

In this video, I will show you about WooCommerce PayPal Payments setup & settings. You will learn how to setup PayPal Payments plugin and add new payment gateway to your WooCommerce website. By default there are no payment gateway setup in WooCommerce and only cash on delivery is the option when some one place order online. We will setup PayPal Payments plugin so that customer will be able to make payments online.
PayPal Payments plugin is free to use with WooCommerce. PayPal Payments setup will allow customers to make payments with PayPal account or they can pay using their credit and debit cards also.
👉 Below are the steps for PayPal payment setup:
➤ Login to WordPress Dashboard
➤ Go to plugins. Click on Add New plugin
➤ Search For WooCommerce PayPal.
➤ You will now see the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin developed by WooCommerce
➤ Install the plug in and activate it.
➤ Go To WooCommerce settings
➤ Click on Payments tab.
➤ You will now see the new option Paypal. Click on Setup
➤ Click on Activate PayPal Payment.
➤ It will now ask you to log in to your Paypal account.
➤ If you do not have account then you will need to create a new business account.
➤ If you already have account then you can login to your account.
➤ Agree to the terms and link the account.
➤ Done. This will link your PayPal account to WooCommerce website.
➤ You can also add credentials manually.
➤ Once the setup is done, customers will be able to pay online using Paypal ot credit and debit cards.

Paypal card processing is not available in all countries. You will see message if it is not available in your country.

Multi vendor websites are completely different than normal e-commerce websites. In multi-vendor websites, the percentage of sale will go to the owner and rest will go to seller. these are all internal settings and depends on the theme or plugin that you use.

i integrated paypal the same way but it is showing an error when we check out showing the error Something went wrong. Please try again or choose another payment source. same

Does this error occur when you select credit/debit card option? If yes then Paypal may not be supporting credit/debit card in your country. pl. check the list of supported countries.

Why is it that I see a spinning wheel on the checkout page? The PayPal status shows as Connected under WooCommerce connection. I also noticed I had Sandox enabled in PayPal and put it on Live.

Hi. I have gone through these steps but paypal still doesnt show up. I get this message "Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your state" but paypal is available in my state. Does that have to do anything with account verification?

Paypal is not available in many countries and states. You need to check availability. Where do you live? If you are from India then you can also go for UPI payment. UPI payment does not take part of payment like paypal.

I have paypal account which accepts Dollars from other countries. If Paypal is not accepting payment in your currency then you may need to look for other payment gateway i think.

You can try another payment gateway. Or you can try currency switcher plugin for woocommerce.

If I click on the "Pay Credit Card" option, it asks me to create a Paypal account. What should I do if the customer doesn't want to create an account?

GO to Woocommerce - settings - Payment settings - Paypal settings. Now go to Paypal Card processing tab. See if it is enabled. If you see message on that page "the card processing option is not yet available in your country" then i think it will not work. There are other payment options which will allow you to accept credit card. but it depends on country.

Visit WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy. Disable the guest user checkout option (first checkbox). Enable option to register account in checkout. See if this works.

Are you selling only to USA or other countries also? You can use currency switcher plugins. I have published 2 videos on currency switcher plugins.

You can arrange the sequence. Go to woocommerce - payment gateway settings. from there you can change the position of the one you want on top.

Paypal does not allow that. It is for online shop so it will not allow personal account.

Yes, There will be transaction charges by paypal. It is not only paypal, all payment gateways will charge you for every transaction. If you are from India, you can try UPI payment setup on woocommerce. I have published video on it. In case of UPI payment, there will not be any transaction and payment will go directly to your bank account without any deduction.
