Wood Bending: How To Make a Jig... (Mistakes Happen) | Episode 2

Welcome back to the second episode in a new series of videos where I'm continuing to design, prototype, and fabricate a new multipurpose piece of furniture for my furniture company, Hoek Home.

Episode 2: This episode looks at planning, fabricating, prepping, and testing (possibly failing) my first attempt at making the jig for this new multipurpose piece of furniture. I can't express how good it feels to be back with these videos. This series allows us to learn, grow and make mistakes together! This series will utilize hand drawing, 3D modeling, CNC cutting, jig making, bent lamination, and many more techniques. Hopefully, we will see what it takes to create a cool piece of furniture together!

You can also make the smaller upper part of the mold a 2-parter as long as you make the cut-line angled (as demonstrated below in wonderful ascii-graphics). That way you can slide the part on the right side in and just need to clamp it down so it can't slide up again. | \ | |_____\____| But obviously making either mold part a 2-parter will do the trick. It's really only about which is easier/sturdier/easier to line up.
