That was a fun game - you forgot timber when the mournfang killed the tree man. A long shot but might have salvaged the draw. I feel like the tree spirits having low damage output makes them really struggle to get good combat res, since they never have any static res. You did a great job ganging up on ogre units to get some wins

About the spell - I think it may be fun to roll something (the same roll as to cast it?) each turn, and if successful, the spell is under control of the caster so the owner decides where the spell moves, but if failed, the spell scatters. Also, maybe if the caster who casted the spell is in combat or dead, the spell always scatters, since nobody is controlling it.

Charging and stuff like Strike Last effecting Initiative for tests just feels wrong. As far as I can tell, the rules work like that, but it just feels off.

Local venue has modified rules. Heavy Calv have 2 wounds, lost Swiftstride. Infantry ranks can get a supporting attack up to third rank which needs the Thrusting spear upgrade. Behemoths who fly lose Swiftstride. Ogres heavily benefited from extra attack ranks, but WS 3 is just brutal handicap.
