The fence completion was very eye appealing and looked natural. The added rock and brick will enhance the flowers and shrubs. Not using mortar will make it easier for many DIYs. I think the most important phase of the project is to have a good plan to know what you need and when you are doing it. Be safe, stay safe, and work safe. 👍🔨😎

Hello! Thanks again for your spot-on comments! I don't have craftsman-level skills, so I started this channel with the goal of sharing ideas and ways to make it easier for more people to get started with DIY. I think it is very important to work safely in this process. Your advice is much appreciated💗.
Just curious... do Japanese commonly use the traditional Japanese burning technique in protecting wood. Torching with a blow torch on the plain wood or wood already applied with oil. In our part of the world, we re-use old engine oil to protect wood from termites and the elements. Thank you for sharing your nice design.

Thank you for your comment. I know there is something called roasted cedar, but it has a strong folk art feel, so I haven't incorporated it into my garden design. However, if it is useful for protecting wood, I'll try it someday if I have a chance. thank you.
