Wood Stove Chimney Installation. Roof Flashings, Sheetmetal and Jig Saws!

On our current build I was asked to install the chimney for the wood stove. Aside from being far off the ground its no trouble at all.

Finally a good-looking metal roof chimney install. Great idea. I'm in. I'll be using your method for my sauna, thank you! What sealant did you use on the top oustide? Fire sealant?

I used a product called “Through The Roof” I’ve had good luck with it and it can be applied to wet material and in the cold. It doesn’t have to be fire rated because it’s not in contact with any heat. Thanks for watching, appreciate the comment.

Giant black box that was clearly shown = ceiling kit Been in use for over a year and was inspected, I'd say we are OK.

I like your method! What type of metal was the shiny silver piece you ran from the ridge cap to the flashing? I was thinking of doing something similar with some left over corrugated roofing. So you see any problems with that? Thanks!

It was 26 gauge galvanized sheet metal, nothing special. I buy a whole 4x8 sheet. Corrugated works well too if you line up the ribs for the overlap. Appreciate you watching, thanks.
