This was best most understandable video on the subject. I think I have a leak from the male class a pipe at the ceiling support box. I'll get up in the attic to inspect it. Thank you.

Maybe a dumb question, but does the double wall or triple wall pipe only pick up from the attic upward through the room? I’m confused if you also need a double or triple wall pipe from the stove to the attic, or if that is like a standard single wall pipe or what.

Youll have to take the sheet/s off to gain access to the decking as well as install the class A roof collar and vent. Once secured take a small piece of metal full width by 2' or better. Lay the sheet above and below the vent while overlapping the already installed sheet. When the small sheet touches the vent mark the sheet still installed do the same for the top mark. Pull from the bottom of the installed sheet and these two marks are your verticals. For Horizontal butt the inside rib edge of the installed sheet. (Remember to account for the rise of the metal off the existing roof due to the ladding and rib height.) Start small and widdle it to fit. Clean metal and vent, dry and seal generous in the back

To me , I want to buy a stove and exhaust/chimney assembly. Since I'm building the cabin, just tell me what kind of roof and cabin needs to go around the stove and chimney sand I'll build the place accordingly, I'm not retrofitting anything. It's like when you buy an outfitter tent and woodstove assembly. They just go together and you assemble the thing where you want it. Simple. I've done it in the past with tents and it worked great.. Now I just want o do the same thing with a small cabin. I don't want to look for a bunch of parts.. That's the job of the stove designer/seller imo They should know more than me. It's their damn product.
