I laughed. Now can since my kids are grown and out of the house but I remember those days. It's been my experience with all three of my kids that between the ages of 12 & 23 their mom and I were the most uncool dumb people that ever lived but then they realized around the age of 22-24 that mom and dad are smart and know things. It's a completely different relationship now and I love it.

@@RyanDraper I would say no. It surely has the vibe and look (black background and colorful overlay) but I think dimension lines are not terminated with arrows but with a cross mark. I would say Frank made this drawing in Illustrator or equivalent. But I might be very wrong.

@@RyanDraper Take a look at Inkscape ! Setup in Inches or millimeters with the grid on it is pretty quick to draw simple plans. The software is open source and cross plateform. I use it for everything nowadays, it seems ugly and bad at start but I have grown to love it !

8:53 what about setting up a spot light over the work space and mount the round object over it. The shadow cast would let you cut while checking round at the same time... might have to turn out shop lights.

Frank, if you do this again, throw a few handfuls of shavings into the bell with the ball before you glue that up, then the ball will be bounding around in a next of shavings, and when you make the slots at the end you can blow out the shavings

the piece looks great. when i get warm weather i'll try to make a couple to put on shelf with hand carved leaves and some acorns I turned already.T give it that holiday look.The problem you said about jingling while holding it . so what .I have family that like to pick up and look close at my pieces. Just the thought of a ball inside is what make it a jingle bell.

This is amazing. I know you're enjoying the bell's sphericalness but you could add a really small wooden drawer pull to the top to mimic the little bump out on a metal jingle bell
