Very nice concept, might even make it myself one day.Maybe finish them up with a coat or 2 of varnish? Will give them a much better, cleaner look.
@FSWoodworking8 жыл бұрын
+Snaffer01 Hi, they are finished with a coat of clear impregnating varnish. I know they look unfinished on the pics but its probably my cameras lens. Thanks a lot for your comment.
@Snaffer018 жыл бұрын
Oh okay! Nice!With a bit more budget one could use these woven electricity cables (more retro). And maybe a strip of thin opal plexiglass to cover up the leds (I hope it's flexible enough). Router out a 2nd bevel a bit wider but less deep and you can probably glue them inside the light bulb. I think that would look very nicely finished for when the light bulb aren't lit. That would be the advanced version ^^You see you got me thinking! I might even make these sooner than I thought! Thanks.
@FSWoodworking8 жыл бұрын
+Snaffer01 Hehe go on make them.Thank you for your advice. Post here your projext if you like. I want to see it once its done. Have fun and work safe.

Great video! I would like to make something similar to this, but the light will be on for long periods. Are there any safety issues with the wood and heat? Don't want it erupting into flames :) cheers
@FSWoodworking8 жыл бұрын
+Chantelle Le Platrier The led strip will never be hot enough to burn the wood. As a matter effect you can touch the led strip even if its on for hours. No safety issues. The only thing I would recommend is to remove the glue behind the led strip and use hot glue instead.Not for safety reasons but just because it holds better.
