- If you do very precise work, be sure to use a vertical drill. For example Bosch Bench Drill PBD 40. - Use quality blades when cutting with a jigsaw. For example OLSON brand. - Use quality wood material for projects that require precision and durability. Beech, hornbeam, ash, walnut, oak etc. - For carving, use soft and easy-to-work woods; linden, ebony, walnut etc. - If you're making gear out of wood, I recommend beech plywood.
