These are one of my favourite buses. The Optare Solo, which was launched in 1997, always gives me a sense of nostalgia every time I come across it. It’s really a shame that these small buses are now replaced.

Nice video , the intro was already funny by riku saying this is *definitely* her channel 😂 . The route w12 is a nice route but it’s sad to get re-routed and the e100ev be replacing the solos . The solo’s are nostalgic and comfortable , it’s sad how I haven’t been on one since 2018 . Its really nice to have Riku with u since I think your on of the best transport duos . Btw I like your new profile picture, it looks cute!

Yes; the intro was very funny LOL, the W14 will be going that way so there’s luckily still a bus route that will be stopping at those stops, now’s your last changes to ride on one before they are withdrawn from every route in London after servicing for 14 years! Great video! But W12 at 8:15 will not be getting Enviro 100s on the 7th, it will get them in 2025. Enviro 200 darts will replace the Optare solos.

Also the 30th of August was the last day of the 20 being operated out of (AW) Walthamstow Avenue. Today the 31st August is the first day of it being operated out of (T) Leyton garage, so just watch out! As you may see some rare appearances. Also the other day as I was taking the bus out of my garage, I thought I'd have some fun and see what routes have been added to the 20s buses, now all the Leyton bus routes have been added, however route 97 blinds have also been added, which is weird as the 97 comes out of Lea Interchange and not Leyton, could this mean at some point they may swap buses with the 97? Who knows.

They add routes onto blinds from other garages as it gives flexibility if a bus fails, or they just move the fleet around, such as GY/Grays garage has both DX/Barking garage and DT/Dartford routes on their blinds, so if a bus fails, they can send a few over, or easily move a route do a different garage :)

Ah yes I heard about that! I may cover some of the routes if any rare workings want to appear lols 😂 Maybe it may be a swap for 97!

But the rare workings, are normally down to reliability/fleet issues or changes, so if the usual 97 fleet isn't doing too well then we might see something, or we might see something on the 20, 56 or 275. Recently, the 165 has been upgraded to full double deck service, as its buses were needed for the 310 route, so its been weird seeing full double decks on the route

The increased PVR of the W12 will be 14 with an extra 2 buses as spares (incase of any breakdowns), meaning a total of 16 buses will be ordered.
