A walk from Woodgreen Underground station along the high st, and finishing at Turnpike Lane underground station. Visiting the indoor shopping city along the route.
Woodgreen station is on the Piccadilly line, and is a short journey to the city centre of London.
Woodgreen is a suburban district of North London, in the borough of Haringey. It’s postal district is N22.

Come across this by accident. Thank you for posting this. Brought back many happy memories of riding my bike up Turnpike Lane then into Wood Green High road in the 60’s onto the 70’s (76-78) right at the end on the corner of Turnpike Lane and Wood Green was our local pub The Wellington. Used to live in Burghley Road 1963 - 1986. Now in Nth Norfolk. Great memories. Thanks again

I just found this on you tube. Thank you so much for sharing this video. Although I spent the first 31 years of my life in N.17 I used to love trips to Wood Green on a Saturday with mum and dad and later my wife. Having lunch in Littlewoods. And going into M&S . Then after we moved to Norfolk , my mother-in-law lived down that road opposite Turnpike Lane station. My eldest daughter spent a few weeks holiday with her and she loved going to the indoor market in the shopping mall at Wood Green end f the High Street. Thank you so much again for making and sharing .

Dutch memories from that area , having lived there 45 years ago. Halfway Alexandra Palace from the tube. Opposite the bus-terminal was an Italian mama running a small lunchroom where ALL busdrivers had their lunches, instead of their own canteen. We have been back all over the UK many times , even recently before "2020". But the bacon she was serving was absolute the best we ever had. Far away from the touristcrowds, one of those London -parts just living it's own life.

I used to come to Wood Green 40 years ago and stay at my grandma's place every summer (I live in Greece) .I recognised 2 stores that are still at the same place , Argos and McDonalds .Also there use to be a WHSmith store where I was buying cassettes , is it still there ?

Just out of curiosity.. before this was all rebuilt I always remember catching the no 29 bus to Wood Green from Winchmore Hillbut only remember the shops on the left side, not the right .. was there shops on the other side of the road too?
