You’re very welcome! Regardless of experience, the banjo of is an easily overlooked component of a wood lathe. I’m glad this video has been helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Regular maintenance would save all this

If by ‘regular’ you mean ‘more often’, then I don’t disagree. However, I can’t recall ever seeing a stated service interval for a wood lathe banjo other than “ . . . as needed . . .” This makes any maintenance interval a moving target. Like I said in the video, I’ll be doing this work more often. Of course if I had been less tolerant of a sticking banjo in the first place, I wouldn’t have had a video to share. And without a completed video, I probably would’ve missed my deadline this week. Thanks for watching and commenting.

What were you using in the beginning with the brush to clean the 'gunk'? Was it just the brush? Great video. My next project is to clean my banjo. 👍👍👍👍👍

Yep, all I was using was a stiff bristled paint brush, the plastic razor blade and a vacuum cleaner. Fortunately, the ‘gunk’ was mostly compacted wood dust and didn’t require any more aggressive method of cleaning. Glad you like the the video and thanks for watching and commenting.

Can you please give an update on the blueberries? I feel like I've watched a cliffhanger season on tv with no second season. I'm very interested. I'm doing cuttings from gigantic 6-7ft tall 8-9ft diameter unidentified variety bushes my parents planted before I was born. (I'm 35) I'm realizing what I did was a mistake and want to do more since we're reaching the end of the planting period.
