Thanks for the good easy to follow instructions. I had my bearings fail the second season of use. Less than 250 hours they recommend for greasing intervals. I also have a Ford 918 flail mower that I grease every 8 hours that I have been using for 15-20 years.. I don't understand why Woodmaxx thinks greasing more often than 250 hours is detrimental. I think I'll start greasing once a week like my Ford. What are your thoughts on greasing intervals? Thanks (Paul in OH)

Great video...I am trying to do the same thing. I can't get the bearings off the shaft...you skipped that part in the video. Any suggestions on how to do that?

These are great videos. I recently received my new Woodmaxx. Where did you source the replacement roller and shaft bearings?

How often do you need to replace the bearings?

I have replace them twice in the last 1-1/2 yrs..... But, what destroys the bearings is the longer swamp grass that I have, their long narrow like a corn leaf but narrow.... If you don't have that kind grass and don't overfill with grease and push out the grease seal... You probably will not have the change bearings for years.... Seems like it's a well-built machine....

Thanks. I was eyeing it as a more of a finish mower / mulcher that I could do some light bush hogging with on occasion.

I use this for finish mower also, what I've been using is the duckbill blades (for everything) they mowed just as good as my Dixie chopper, the grass blades did not perform to my satisfaction..... But, remember we have Florida grass if it's green it's grass....

bigdavid1 - We have rye grass and my bearings had to be replaced after a year and a half also. I think, due to Woodmaxx being very serious about not greasing more often than every 250 hours, for the reason you mentioned-overfilling will push out the grease seal, I think I gave the bearing a shot at 100 hours and 200 hours. What do you think of removing the housings, popping off the grease seals and regrease the bearings every 20 or 30 or 40 hours to make sure the seals don't pop out of place? (My reason? ->I've got more time to grease than money to replace bearings these days) thanks
