I asked if people wanted me to do a Q&A video, they said yes. This is my first try at something like this, I did it in the simplest way I could think of: went for a walk with my camera and phone, and answered questions in the woods, by a river, near a mill, in the hills, in the snow.

A few things: ●There's a static sound at the start of this video, I don't know why and 5 renders with changes didn't change it. It's not there in the editing software, but is always in the rendered video. Hopefully that's not something that'll happen with every video. ●I'm aiming to have another video out this coming Sunday. I wanted to maintain a two week schedule for the whole of this year, and computer problems and life things got in the way, so I'm going to try and catch up. ●This is my first attempt at a Q&A video, I did it as simply as I could; it's probably not as good as I could do. I wanted for instance, to film me playing some new music as requested, but didn't get around to it.

Thank you for sharing as much about yourself as you were comfortable with. It really was quite a lot. I’m sorry if anyone asked inappropriate questions, humankind as a whole is quite nosy. I really enjoyed your video, the sights and sounds were breathtaking. I didn’t realize that you are a musician along with all of your other many talents. I’ve enjoyed your walk along this icy river so much that I feel like I was there beside you, though heaven knows I’d never actually be out there risking a fall. So thanks for showing me the beautiful frozen scenery. It is so very clear in your videos how private you are that I could not dare ask a question, but I do appreciate the ones you answered. That was lovely, Tom. Having become mostly a hermit myself, I applaud your bravery in putting out this Q & A video. Nothing gets a stronger visceral reaction from me than strangers wanting to know things about me. That's a 180 degree change from my younger years, when I had the need to be seen and validated. I learned the hard way not to desire such attention. I like what I know about you, and what I don't know is none of my business. 😂😜 I do believe that you're going to have to live forever in order to get to all the things you want to do. 🤣🤣 Nevermind. If it gets you up each day, that's good enough. 🤗 I loved seeing all the ice sculptures, and the beautiful scenery. At times I forgot to listen, and had to rewind. Shame on me, eh? 🤣🤣 I continue to wish you all the best that Life has to offer. See you next time. 😁👍

Thanks Noralee, I agree... going to have to live forever to get everything I want to do done, and who wants to live forever? Not me. I'll get some of it done, and hopefully have fun along the way. I hope you're OK as a hermit, not missing social things too much. I'm a natural hermit, and it's a fight to do social things enough that I don't go a bit weird. 🙂 I wish you all the best that life has to offer too.

*Kia ora Tom, Wow it's your own music, it truly is beautiful. I sometimes feel that you had wished that you were born in a earlier era... just from your conversations with us, about your interests in much earlier times. I thoroughly enjoyed this video of the beautiful scenery covered in snow... and just hearing your soothing voice. Please keep on being you.... but also slowly step outside your inner feelings of not being around people. Yep that takes time... but one step in front of the other & one day at a time. We all have inner demons/issues to cope with... Yes if people should meet you & then only talk to you as they would a friend & not be all gushing etc. I am shy, but I can mix with politicians or even people on the street when I need to. Tom, I enjoyed this video very much,. IN regard to your shyness, please don't let your public nervousness, become excessive. Many public figures, including actors and car salesmen( well perhaps not THEM), have been able to channel their introversion toward public pursuits. I would be sad to see a news article about the passing of a certain Tom, The Hermit found in a dwelling ,stacked to the ceiling with detritus:) Of course not, this is your public outlet. LOL Sorry for the macabre thoughts, you ,after all, have people around you ,including a girlfriend. One must respect privacy more and more since we now have less and less. Cheers, Rik Spector

A very chilly but scenic walk today Tom. The views on your walks are much prettier than my daily jaunts but then again I am in the suburbs of a large city. Thank you for sharing a little more of your self with us. Make sure you take lots of Vit D3 if you avoid the sun.

Thanks Amanda. I'm sorry I haven't answered more of your comments, I've been quite introverted for the last few weeks, severely lacking in social energies. But I still read every comment, and greatly appreciate them. I'm sad that you're bed ridden, it's something that my mum went through for the last few years of her life, and it was hard to be a carer and see how hard it was for her. I'm glad that the content I make now can be an escape for people in the same situation. Of course I don't mind you trying to sing along with the music, I like the idea that you do. It's not something I can do (I've tried), they're in keys that my voice doesn't do well. 🙂

I enjoyed the walk even on a wintry day. It had a different, continuous flow that we don't see when you are mudlarking. I thought your answers were interesting, and I liked that you didn't agonize (at least not to us) on what you were prepared to answer and what you weren't. I hope spring comes to your world soon, because it is still a way off here in northern Alberta.

Thanks Elizabeth, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And yes, I've tried to get continuous flow into a few of my videos, travelling up streams, or down river banks... but this one did feel different. Spring has sprung her several times already, and it's back to snow today... about 4 inches so far, the poor trees and plants will be very confused.

Looks like y’all had a very cold winter, too. I’m in central Florida and we too, had a very cold first of part of winter. Around Christmas we had twenties degree weather, which we haven’t had that cold for around thirty years…brrr🥶. Have a good day, Tom. ✌🏼❤️

Thanks Lisa, hope you're having a good day too. It regularly gets down that low here in Winter, so this one isn't considered a particularly cold one here. Snow today, about 4 inches of it... which is insulating the house nicely for the moment and a bit of a blizzard outside was nice for filming a round up. 🙂

What a calming walk and video! It is good to know more about you and your views. Listening to your answers and the questions you said you hadn't had much success in melting metals into sculpture and I wondered why? I was curious if you have tried sandcasting? I would love to try making a frozen charlotte mold from hand casting then turning that into a wax Mould, then doing a sand cast making metal frozen charlottes for necklaces n such. I think it would be cool. I find a lot of copper and aluminum in the city , the only thing I don't have is a smelter or rather a small forge, perhaps one day I will. Beautiful video and I think it would be nice to hear your voice in a book reading. :)
