We had a blast using our Woods Food Plot Seeder for the first time. Take a look and see if you think its for you. #hobbyfarm #farmtotable #John Deere #5075E

The tray slides in under the crank to catch it in the slot below

Agreed. We just find it easier to stick a bucket under the seeder.

Thanks for sharing- I’d like to purchase one of these soon for seeding down pastures. Can you do a follow up video with the results?

You bet! Mother Nature has been cooperating by raining every other day or so. I was really happy to see some grass sprouting!

Nice! I I see you made a really sharp turn at the fence corner with the planter down on the ground. Can this planter take that kind of twisting on the coulters?

We have had no damage to it other than tearing the plastic seed tubes. I think the turn may look sharper than it actually is. We usually lift it

Im looking at a similar unit. How do you like it so far? Did your pastures come in ok?

I'm really happy with it, no complaints. It's just the right size for our hobby farm. If we had a larger farm I would consider a full blown seeder. The spring pastures did not do well. We set the discs at 0, so the ground was not disturbed for a seed bed at all. This fall we planted ryegrass with the discs angled just one adjustment. It made all the difference. The ryegrass came in really well.

Do you have any videos of how the crops came up? The machine looks nice but I am curious as to the results.

I don’t have any videos. I will be sure to make one this season. We had very good luck with ryegrass, pearl Millet and daikon radish. We had decent, but not good results with the baheya grass.
