@BKellyS3 жыл бұрын
I couldn't agree more, I ended up with the same clubs you talk about, the longest iron is a 5, then TM Aeroburner 4 Hybrid, then 5W and 3W G400 Ping. My 4H, 5W and 3W are all high loft to help my elevation. This is the first time I have felt I have the right clubs in that range. I do still keep my 4 iron around just to punch out under trees but probably don't really need it. I don't hit it any further than my 5 iron generally.

What you said about rolling your hands over really clicked for me. I was'nt always thinking about that simple technique when I'm trying to hit it straight or with a draw. I went to the range and everything clicked for the most part. It's so much easier to hit with power when I consciously think about rolling my hands over at impact. I feel like an idiot for not figuring it out for myself. Thanks Paige!!!

You forgot about another option, utility irons. I am a 15 HC and play 4 and 5 utility irons and a 3 hybrid. The bit of extra beefiness in the utilities really help me launch them, and I do. It actually surprises me how well I play those irons considering my handicap. They are certainly an option people should consider.

In August 2016, Spiranac competed in her first LPGA Qualifying Tournament, attempting to earn a card to play on the professional circuit;[23] she was unsuccessful. @@ecupirate0023 Paige Spiranac is infinitely more important to golf than playing on the LPGA Tour. She's developed a "World-Wide" brand and has millions of fans. She is an absolutely BRILLIANT Marketer and exceptionally intelligent. She created a business model that does not require her to sweat results on the Pro Tour or have her income tied to her ability to produce. In the process she has created a successful small business, which inspires others to do the same. I was riding along in a golf cart with a pro at a tour event. My friend was talking to one of his buddies who was playing in the tournament. The Un-named pro was lamenting how he tweaked his back early in the year and had to sit out for 6 months before he could get back and play. In the meantime, bills started stacking up and so did increased pressure to perform. He said he was dreading the next few months attempting to make back all the money that he didn't earn during his time off to recuperate. Paige doesn't have to worry about that. She can have fun playing golf. One of Paige's greatest assets is her relatability to her fans. Many pros and instructors act like they have some sort of great secret and the real secret is a lot of practice. Paige is superb at breaking down the shots and explaining the solution and then showing "how" to hit the shot without pretense or ego. Touring pros come and go but I am thoroughly convinced Paige Spiranac will be around the golf world for as long as she wants. I sincerely hope she continues to convert opportunities into ongoing business success as she expands her horizons in the pursuit of her version of the American Dream!

@@Labgorilla you're "dead-on" accurate! Paige's ability to positively communicate to multiple demographics coupled with her enthusiasm is a tremendous asset. She is a marketing genius. As you so adeptly pointed out, it's irrelevant whether Paige plays on tour or not, she's cut out a niche and has developed a significant business enterprise in the process which does NOT tie her income to high-stress performance on the pro tour. She's figured out a way to play golf, have fun and help others enjoy the sport. In addition, she's worked hard to create a "World-Wide" brand with the ability to partner with companies to leverage their brands in a "Win-Win" formula. Way to go Paige!! Great advice! I had distance bunching at the top end of my bag. I now stop at 6 iron (JPX 919 HM, which have 5* gaps lower in the bag so mid and long irons get quite strong) and go 23* 5 hybrid, 21* 7, 19* 5, and 15* 3 wood, plus driver. 7 wood is so much easier to hit than my old JPX Fli Hi 4 hybrid, which, at 19* was more like a 3 hybrid in other models. There are a lot of headcovers in the bag but it works for me!

I put a Cobra F9 5 wood head ( 17 *) on a 3 wood shaft to get the height and better ball speed/ distance, then a TS2 21* 7 wood, then hybrids up to 29 degrees. The hybrids are Cobra Single length 19 * ( a very versatile club, then a Cobra F7 set at 25* and a TS2 at 29*. The SL Hybrid give a lower flight, very easy to shape and good for punch shots and chipping in wet heavy conditions.

The biggest thing for anyone is the proper Golf Swing and the proper Golf Swing through each club. If you don't have the fundamentals down then your still on step one. The proper GOLF SWING is dynamic and tough. Once you get the Golf Swing down then worry about what irons, woods even expensive equipment your gonna buy! If the ball still slicing, topping, chunking, blading, too far chip, too short chip.... The right Golf Swing puts it in the fairway and in the pin Everytime. Eagle, birdie shots all day long. It takes a lot of practice, patience, lessons, and getting your body to do exactly what is needed in the Golf Swing. The difference between Professional and everyone else is the Right Golf Swing!!! Next to putting. Not easy either!

I've been thinking about the Epic Speed 3 wood for a little while....I just put the Epic Max LS driver in my bag, I'm curious about the fairway wood now too. Honestly....I've tried hybrids but I always hit them a bit too high and/or didn't like the feel...but I have a 2 and 3 iron that I've had for 15 years that I'm just comfortable with especially because I hit the ball high and I often play in windy conditions so I think based on habit and feel I still am in the long iron/driving iron category.

Hi Paige, I'm sure you are already working on this, but a ball tracker when demoing your shots would be extremely helpful so we can see where your shots are going. Maybe the shaft in that 3 hybrid is not according to spec. Maybe swap the shafts from your 4 to your three. Maybe that could be the reason. just a suggestion. I would say you only need a 3 hybrid as you can adjust the loft down or up unless if you really need a 2 or 1 to use it from the tee allot.
