Woods racing a DRZ400

This was my first race ever! Hosted by JXC Racing.
Can you race a drz400 in the woods? Yes. Should you? No. The bike was heavy and fought me on every turn. The suspention just did not like any of it, even after dialing it in. The trails were tight and flowy and having to swing around a heavy dinosaur like the 2000 Suzuki DRZ400E was a handful. In the end I'm happy I did it, and I'm definitely doing it again.

I have a "enduro-ized" DRz400. I hang with my 2stroke riding buddies on it but I wouldn't want to race it, the big bike is just for fun rides.

Here to see what the venue was like....what kind of tires/ tubes are you running ? Really nice place on a beautiful day , just that Ohio clay .....

Running heavy duty tubes, with a shinko 505 on the rear and a IRC VucanEnduro for the front. Should of chose a wider tread pattern for the race. Didn't account for the mud after 150 riders.
