I remember sitting outside with my grandpa watching him whittle on sticks. I think carving in general makes me feel closer to him somehow. I do learn from watching others and I'm so grateful to have y'all helping me along the way. ✌️🪵✌️

I am an eternal beginner! I believe that we always will be and, after all, realizing oneself higher than the last creation remains a 1st degree apprenticeship, right?🙃😉😘 Your wood spirit is great! Since I've been following Jordy for so long, it's about time I finally tried it!

Lots of us were introduced to power carving by Jordy. I was lucky and found him in his very early days. Just like you,he wasn't sure about u-tube etc but look at him now. An inspiration to us all. ( i don't know if Jordy realises hes a vlog influencer??) Its all his fault! Apparently 😅. I use Bogoak as my main wood to attempt to carve. Its a hard wood( 5/6 thousand yrs under the bogs of Co Mayo Eire) ,but its younger self is white or red oak. Have a look at some bogwood/bigoak carvings on the web. I wish i could carve as good as you,I'd be able to make a few pennies. . 🏴🐦🍄🌬😀🏴

Jordy is truly a leader and a teacher, even though he won't admit it. 🤣 I looked up the bogwood, oh my golly that is some beautiful stuff. I would love to see some of your work! I'm going to keep at this until my hands say no more. I truly love this form of art. As Jordy says the more you do the better you get. And I take that to heart. ✌
