Hi Bandstrap: Great Video start to finish.When demonstrating I would suggest shutting the lathe off when adjusting tool rest .Also especially when leaving lathe to sharpen tools .Safety first please Gerry V

Thank you for watching .. about the sharping system there is a lot of different systems I use the Robert Sorby Proedge, I did get the delux packet and all the stuff needed to sharpen turnings tool was included in the packet.. www.yandles.co.uk/robert-sorby-proedge-plus-deluxe-special-edition-package-deal/p17897 I used the Tormek system befor .. but I find this better .. .. I was hoping more of the knot was going to show when you got through turning. I like natural in the bowls. I thought the bowl turned out really nice.

It appears that the wood was still a bit green. Did it warp much after you turned it? Did you attempt to pull any moisture out by microwaving it, or other means? Thankx

The wood was areund 16% moisture, and it is drying in a paper bag with the wood chips... When it is dry i Will correct the foot and All done... I do use the microwave alot but not for this project.. Thank you for watching.. Stay safe and have a great day 😁😁😁

@@WOODTURNINGBYBRANDSTRUP Absolutely. I took a Tupperware type of container and filled it with "silica", cat litter. You don't want the Clay type of cat litter. Weigh your bowl, and place into the cat litter, completely covering it up. Make sure you also have cat litter for the bowl to sit on. Cover the entire bowl with the litter. Put the lid on the container, and take your piece out in a day or so, and weigh it. It will weigh less, because of the moisture content being absorbed by the silica. The thought process behind it is the same as your wood shavings. The shavings around your bowl wicks the moisture out of it. Watch this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppqmaJ2sj6eMY9U

Hej Erik, Jeg har faktisk solgt den da jeg ikke brugte den .. den havde ikke variabel hastighed. men jeg ved der er modeller der har, men jeg kan fortælle den er meget stabil 280 kilo og en god meget holdbar maskine.. men for mig manglede den nogle af de mere updated ting som variabel hastighed.. og har en anden maskine på ønskesedlen når jeg en dag finder penge til den :-) .. tak fordi du så med .. have en god dag og pas på dig selv .. 😀 ps .. du kan see stats her woodturninglathes.co.uk.//graduate_classic.html
