Thank you for watching everyone! What have you done recently that has thoroughly pushed your boundaries?

Now that was a stroke of genius, attaching a counterweight to balance the off-center turning, Matt!

thanks Rick! It certainly helped! I was worried the hotglue wouldnt hold up, but it was way stronger than I thought.

Awesome bowl... bowls... umm thing 🤣 you created Matt, the log has some great features and I can see why you wanted to save it. Thanks for sharing and stay safe. Keep on turning. Cheers, Bluey 👍

This is a special project Matt. For this I would like it if the lathe switch was not on the other side of the workpiece so that your hand does not have to reach behind the workpiece. Stay safe and keep turning

Hi Matt, very cool looking log with 2 bowls in it. Great idea with the counter weight. I have done this on a number of offset or multi axis turnings. You can also incorporate as a waste block to help maintain a could cut. Check out my emerging bowl from Mimosa where I combined both. I like the fact the underside of yours is pretty much still a half of a log. Great work, Gary

Thanks for watching Gary! I'll definitely check our your emerging stuff, I had a go at one the other day although it went so so. I try to keep as much of the nature as I can.
