I love the colours that you find in cherry wood. This piece is very pretty. I’ve always liked wood that has an intricate grain pattern and the subtle colour gradients such as in this bowl. 😁👍

Lovely bowl, Tanya! Well done mate. I can't wait for covid lockdown to end because my granddaughter Phoebe has been wanting me to begin teaching her to turn. I have a mini lathe that will be perfect for the job and a real nice piece of Camphor Laurel to make a simple little snack bowl. She is tool crazy and will be 7 on her next birthday in February. If it’s not m42 Steel don’t buy in it..you mention hurricane ……Carter and sons sell just the steel much much cheaper and takes 15 minutes to make a handle..I have turned for 55 years.. m2 is way better than high speed steel and m42 steel is way better than m2 steel..
