Woodturning - Bird feeder, made of firewood

I have several pieces of firewood that are badly cracked. I split this piece in half and turned it into two natural edge bowls. One is intended as a roof for the bird feeder, the other is smaller and more like a bowl. The bird food can go in there. I joined these two bowls with a stick of spalted birch.
After everything was put together I put everything in the Tung oil to protect it against the weather. Give it a thumbs up or down to let us know what you think, or write it in a comment.

Wat een leuk en praktisch bruikbaar voederhuisje. Gelijk goedgekeurd door een pimpelmeesje, alhoewel ik niet zeker weet of het m om het mooie huisje gaat of alleen om het voer. Zo leuk om vogels in de tuin te hebben en te observeren.

Altijd gezellig als je vogels op bezoek krijgt. Gelukkig komen er nog wel wat langs in onze kleine tuin.

Is that bird a nuthatch? I haven’t seen one of those in my area. Also, that is a great idea for “scrap” wood. 👏🏼

The bird in the beginning of the video is a A female Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs). The bird in the thumbnail and at the end of the video is a Eurasian blue tit. I had never seen The Chaffinch in my garden before, so that was nice. Thanks for watching. Frank.
