Hmmm that is an interesting question! For tenderising? I probably wouldn't as I couldn't guarantee that I could seal it properly. You could use a heavier wood for the head though, or a bigger head.

Nice vid. And I love sapele and ash as a combo. Our version of maple and walnut 😎 It's your roughing gouge slightly swept back, or is it a trick of the camera?
