Thanks Bluey Pastle! Yeah, when I learned about that split turning from Mark Sfirri, I used paper and glue for splitting. Recently I made a holder piece like a cup chuck instead for preventing time consuming.

I was just thinking as I was watching this, that it would be cool to form a mold and pure resin and light green coloring in it and then form the bottle. Let me know if you do this so I can see it afterward. I bet it turns our cool and you might even be able to cut the Coke bottle so you get the lettering too. Or even better push the bottle into the resin and take it out after it is hard.
