Woodturning Horse Chestnut

This is Horse Chestnut that I am turning and it has plenty of spalted designs running through it, I have to admit that I really enjoyed turning this piece of wood and it took the polish at the end very well. The piece when finished measured about 11 inches across and about 3 inches deep. The wood was a little spongy in places so I took my time around those places and managed to get most if not all of the tear out removed using a negative rake cutter and sanding.
