I couldn't have that piece in my house: I couldn't live with it! I'd put it somewhere...then walk around it, trying to find the most beautiful aspect. Then I'd turn it. Admire it some more, then have to get up and turn it again. Then put it somewhere else that would show it off even more. Then stare at it, then move it, then turn it, then turn it some more...and on and on. It's so gorgeous, that if I look at from one view, I'd miss the other. It's impossible to decide!!! Breathtaking. Wow!

@@JackMackWoodturning - Don't do that Jack, we all appreciate what you do soooo much and would be sad if you stopped. You are a true artist and have a talent that is quite special. I never had a great love of woodworking and did it mainly to make money as I built up an 80 man cabinet shop that drained me in the management of it. Sold it and swore never to do woodworking again. I never have but do appreciate fine woodworking of all types and I do have a love for wood. Keep up the great work Jack.

I do. I’m about at the limit of what I can do to keep it going. But that’s okay. Nothing in life is permanent and it’s been a lot of fun doing this. Up keep going for a little longer but for now it seems unlikely it’ll come back.

This really turned out to be magnificent. I've always wanted to try my skills and imagination with Woodturning. I almost had a complete workshop: before my brother died, he gave his workshop to me. It was furnished with two lathes, drill press, all of the saws and sanders possible. His widow sold everything to pay the medical bills. I lost all of it. Bummer. Maybe here? Am I lucky yet? Let's see... 😊

@@JackMackWoodturning good morning. No I have never worked with it. I just started learning to turn last year. I have always worked with my hands but with blowing glass. I have completely fallen in love with it. But there are not a lot of instructors where I live. So I am learning as I go watching videos and turning. My last instructor said I was a little OCD about my work. But anything worth doing is worth doing right. So I am patient and let the wood talk to me. Silly I know. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. Your work is beautiful!
