Woodturning - Left over RESIN and WOODEN pieces

Recycling my left-over resin and some off cuts pieces of hardwood, banksia pod and pine cone to make this vibrant and cool looking little lidded pot. Wet sanded up to 3000grit then some Yorkshire grit to shine up 😊

Nice piece David. I used to have large batches of leftover resin on my projects too. Then I started using rice to gauge how much resin a project needs. Just fill your mold up with uncooked rice, then measure how much it took. That should get you almost spot-on. It works great. Thanks for sharing... V

I’m looking at getting into turning with wood and resin in the near future,im assuming the resin gives of a lot of dust when being turned? Keep the vids coming mate 👍🍻

Thanks Darren. Very similar to wood. When turning it come off as shavings/ribbons then when sending is very dusty. But easy to clean. Good air respirator is a must tho
