Hi Glen, I’ve just bought an impact visor system like your…very impressed but do you have the one way valve that clips inside, attached to yours? Seems to be in the way??

There are no valves inside.

My gosh, Glen, thank you! I travel full time in a motorhome, every two weeks I set up and tear down my lathe tent moving to a different campground. Very limited on space as you may well imagine so the carbides make most sense as sharpening is minimal and number of tools is somewhat less All my wood comes from fire pit, never knowing what I'll get. Absolutely love these conditions! Regarding what you addressed, you were spot on with the toolrest, and some with the hesitation. I can say for sure that I place my hand on toolrest most of the time. I will start working on that in a couple of days as today is teardown and move tomorrow. Again, thanks so much for taking your time to help. Impossible to express my appreciation! Barry

Hey you 2 Great vid again Answered a few of the problems I was having with waves/ridges ect. Re the tool next to your body I was taught to keep the chisel tucked in and keep your hand on tne tool rest. A lot of you tube vids/teachers teach the same so watching your vids and having to re learn is sometimes difficult but saying that my turning as improved dramatically since 1) buying your carbides 2) your explanation on how to use said tools ( the videos ) 3) how to use traditional tools as well and the reason you end up with ridges etc I would like to see a review/feedback section on your web page and also a gallery of the work pepole have done with your tools which may inspire others to do thngs they are not confident in attempting, like myself had been till I watched your vids.. Also a forum where turners could discuss your tools and any problems they come across etc. Getting feedback/advice from more expeirenced turners like yourself Asking you questions and doing possible videos on the problems. I know this takes time and energy to do and know yuou guys are busy but moderators could look after the forumsect. Anyways guys Happy new year and thanks for ALL the help and advice you have given and for making me better as a wood turner and because of you 2 getting me to love turning even more than I already did Sorry its longwinded Looking forward to your next video👍👍👍

Hi. Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, the website does not have a review/feedback page. It is a basic website that does require updating. It is something we are looking into As you stated it is a very busy time for us. This would be something for the future. Again, the website does not have anywhere to post photos of peoples work. Something we are again looking into. These things take time. Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year too. Glenn & Liza

I know in normal woodworking if I’ve got highly figured wood I will often have to use a scraper ,do you follow the same rules with turning?
@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca530811 ай бұрын
Many do. It is common practice to use a scraper with figured wood. I do not have this issue. I do not suffer from tear out or tool marks. All taken out using cuts.

Just a few. I keep telling Liza that. Maybe when we go to Newark, can pick up one or two. Lol
