Woodturning - Victory Ash Tray

Harry and I are realize the challenges of being the greatest at something, so we decided to make a victory ash tray our of Ash! Living in Houston I figured I had to make a celebratory item for the Houston Astros winning the World Series.
I took a slate coaster and used it as an insert to protect the wood from hot embers.

I've got to say those ash holes were a real pain in the ash drilling them. Probably should sharpen my forstner bit!
