In this video I make a wooden as a birthday gift. This was another first and a very fun project. I use apple, padauk and mahogany for this piece. The flower itself is 3" tall and 14" tall stem and all. I used Starbond thick to assemble all of the pieces and it worked perfectly. (see link below for a discount code )

Thanks Jay. It a small project that takes some time to get the hand sanding right. I’m going to come up with a smoother cut system for the flower petals. I appreciate you watching as always!

@@TheKlondikeCraftsman Yes, hand sanding. Many things by hand are my source of frustration, mine being paralyzed. But once you find an efficient way it takes a bit of the tedium away. If you do learn an efficient method for the petals I hope you'll share it. :)

Awesome tulip, Lewis! Love the idea for the leaves. Do you find that the leaves are rather delicate since they done have much glue surface area? Just curious how well these travel to craft shows, etc.

That was a square shank but a round cutter. It was the easywood tools #1 hollower. Thank you for watching!

Possibly Morgan, I read it as turners using pieces larger than needed for the finished item. I did not take it offensively, I’ve seen some big pieces turned into very small items.

I appreciate that but I’m not going to leave the conversations of others doing a different project in my videos. Also there is copyrighted music playing and that is a big no for KZbin. I try to work around those thing but sometime it isn’t possible. I appreciate the feedback and you watching!
