It's a great concept. That's why firefighters have been using that exact same design for decades. Except they have rubber caps on the feet.

Pretty nifty but you really should consider using some metal tubing to protect the ply from serious wear and tear the bolts are going to cause and as everyone else has said some form of rubber feet would not go amiss

The idea is cool but the ladder misses sideway stabilisation. Step on the ladder and grab something from far right or left. Then the ladder will fold away. Very dangerous!

I dont think so, if the surface remains flat, there is no problem. because your weight will push the ladder down.

@@syvcthr9953 it will not slip due to surface problems. There is no sideway stability and even your weight will not make it stable. Step on it and lean to the right or left. Therr has to some sort of locking mechanism which prevents the folding when in use

@@udomuller1542 I was thinking that there should be at least on "locking" rung to prevent what your talking about. But if don't plan on using this to get on the roof of your house and use it as more of a foot stool then it should be fine. I was thinking of making something like this for camping. Braced against a tree it would be able to accidently fold up.
