@ 1:25 into the video I liked your reference to the oooops paint/stain. I actually go straight to that section every time I’m at Lowes. You can pick up some really nice colors there if you watch for them. The smallest ones are dirt cheap @only a couple bucks and I think the next size up is 5 something after tax. I’ve probably got like 10 or 15 ooops cans already and will always look for more. Even the gallon cans are drastically reduced so if you need to paint a room and don’t mind the color, it’s a really good way to save a lot of money. 🤷‍♂️

I completely agree. I always look at the oops section too in Lowes and Home Depot. I have a bunch of oops paints that I use for random things like this. You cant go wrong for the price. Thank you for the comment.

Love your videos! I’m so happy to hear that I’m not the only one who has something go wrong on the last screw/nail . I think for your pumpkin stack painting you may want to consider the candy corn colors. Just an idea. I also have a request, I’m trying to find some ideas for some scouts (tweens) to do for gifts or things they can make themselves and sell but only using simple (safety first) tools. Any suggestions would be great, maybe a video of some ideas
@jascogoods
@jascogoods 2 ай бұрын
Thank you, I appreciate the love. the candy corn idea is great!!! I may try that if I make more fall stuff. So for the scout idea. I am assuming they are boy scouts? I did a video about some wood mountains I made that can be made with a hand saw. If its for Christmas I have a video for some easy Christmas trees that can be made with a hand saw but it would be a little more cutting than the trees. I am going to redo my Christmas tree video and add some even easier trees that they could do. They could do napkin holders those are easy and can be done with a hand saw also. Same with coasters. Those are all great beginner projects because you can sand stain and clearcoat them fairly easy. I really like making stuff from polymer clay. Its safe and you just harden it in a regular house hold oven. I hope that answered your question. If not let me know some more details and ill try to come up with something better.

Very clever, where would you sell this stuff at? And for how much
@jascogoods
@jascogoods 20 күн бұрын
thank you. I would sell it on Etsy or Facebook marketplace. If you have craft fairs or places like that it would be good to set up a booth but you would have to make a bunch in advance. Pricing is tricky because it depends on where you live and the timing. Its almost too late to sell Halloween stuff since we are a week from Halloween and most people aren't looking to spend money on new decorations they would take down next week. But the shelf I would sell for $40 to $80 in the beginning of September. This late in the season you would have to do $20 to $30.

What are the angles of the candy corn
@truthunfiltered314
@truthunfiltered314 2 ай бұрын
It depends on the size you want to make it and the relationship of the height to the width of the base. Using a 1x6 board, if you set the miter saw at 20 degrees, you will end up with a triangle that is 5 1/2" tall and roughly 4" wide at the base. If you want it wider, set the angle higher, and set a smaller angle if you want it narrower at the bottom.
@jascogoods
@jascogoods Ай бұрын
I use a 1x4 and I cut it at 22.5 degrees. That's where my miter saw has a stop so thats why I use that specific angle but you can just use an angle close to that if you don't have the stop.
