lol, the unused private property line in this land is your land has a little extra meaning in this video. Woody Guthrie A Life is a wonderful book about both Woody and America at the time. I believe the author is Joe Klein. The amount of house fires and tragedy in his life make for a fascinating story.

I'm pretty sure that Woody would have been against a "resodents only" community 03:48

They have him labeled as a communist. But his jobs were he worked as a sign maker. He did migrant labor, and he wrote songs. You can't do that under communism. Communism is the same as what he thought was fascism. You have to wear the same brown jump suit under communism, you have to make the same sign, and you have to sing the same song. Then he was a migrant worker. you can't travel around looking for different employers under communism. the state tells you who to work for.

Not in Woody's or Pete's communism. Not in Lenin's dream, either.
