I spent several decades of incredible and wonderful years working and playing gigs, concerts and casual outings with Woody. To say he was an amazing guitarist would only be redundant, but to know the Mann, was an honor of a lifetime. My heart is so heavy and my musical memories of Woody are so many, that lucky for me, one helps to support the other in this time saddest of times. Dear Woody, I will always love you from the bottom of my heart and will miss you like the brother I considered you to be. One last thing Woody, “Call for Confirmation!” Love, Michael

I was just a student at his workshops over a lot of years but I feel like I’ve lost a friend; gone too soon! A lovely, kind, gentle man. He would not want sadness so I’ll push the emotion into playing more ( like he always told me to!) RIP!
