A well-put together video. I really enjoyed watching this and reading the text without the need for background 'music'.

back in the day when this railway was built, they built to last, and thanks to their skill, it has lasted, despite years of neglect, if they were still around, they could be rightly proud, and the people that did, or helped, achieve this restoration can be proud to

A future Lynton and Barnstaple Railway could own some horses and a few Land Rovers too. Potentially it could rival what cars do in the aA to Bb delivery of people/goods sense and do it without the ugly monotony of roads widened, motorways and the awful pollution which is destroying this world; not to mention being less costly . Like The Preston Model ( ‘think local’) , the idea only needs to catch on.

Mother Nature would say: Yes, do this , I don”t mind a bit of smoke, it’ll be a stab in the right direction of not concreting me over . As long as you reduce your car use and CHANGE YOURSELF MAN, NOT TRY TO CHANGE ME, I won’t inflict Coronavirus upon you.....

Is it possible to make a comparison between the main road to Buxton ( current speed limit 50 mph) and the apparent speed limit on the A39?( 60 mph)? Not much logic applicable. On the former route, I seem to need a special gear, not 4th nor 5th but somewhere in between! The speed limit is an unprintable adjective/ noun. We then consider how poor the A39 really is and how no motorway crosses Devon nor is likely to. Dual carriageway yes but that is about as far as things go. Not much chance of seeing the A39 being dualled , is there?Floreat vapor! Alistair
