Thank you sooo much for your reaction, i really enjoy it ❤ BTW, WOODZ is not the name of a group, it's his (the singer) stage name (his real name is Cho Seungyoun). He is a songwriter, singer, rapper, composer, song designer, producer, and was a professional junior soccer player in Brazil before he decided to come back to Korea and become a musician (but he's still playing football until now). Fun fact, if you check all the songs on all his albums, you will find his name listed as "composer and lyricist (always in both of this credit, not only one per song)" on all of them. When I fell into the Woodz rabbit hole I played this song on repeat for about a week. As another commenter has already said, Woodz is the stage name of the vocalist here, not a group (though he has a group of musicians he plays with often). He also writes and produces his own music. Over the years he has gone through a bunch of styles, in fact hardly any of his records are like the others. His real name is Cho Seungyoun, also known as Woodz (formerly Luizy), he spent his adolescence in São Paulo, Brazil, with initial aspirations for a professional football career, acting as a striker. He returned to South Korea in search of a musical career, signing a contract with YG Entertainment as a trainee before being transferred to Yuehua Entertainment. Seungyoun started his music career in October 2014 as the lead rapper for the Sino-Korean group UNIQ. However, a dispute over restrictions imposed on Korean companies promoting in China in 2016 left the group in a tricky position, causing the group's activities to be halted in 2018. After his appearance in the fifth season of the rap competition program Show Me the Money, Seungyoun debuted as a solo artist under the stage name Luizy in July. 2016, with the release of the collaborative single "Recipe". He later changed his stage name as a soloist to WOODZ in 2018, reflecting changes in his musical direction. The releases as WOODZ, plunged into alternative R&B, and included the transition from rap to vocals. Seungyoun participated in the Mnet Produce X 101 (2019) survival show, where he finished in 5th place, being part of the project group X1. After the disbanding of the group he resumed his solo career as WOODZ, he released two successful albums, WOOPS! and EQUAL, both reaching fourth and second position respectively on the Gaon music charts. Cho has made a comeback with his third EP "Only Lovers Left" on October 5, 2021, with the double title tracks "Kiss of Fire" and "Waiting". He co-produced and co-wrote three songs in English for his international fans as well as to take a leap forward globally in regards to the reach of his music. With this album, he achieved his first win as a soloist on The Show. In addition to his solo work, he has written and produced songs for artists in both his native South Korea and China, as well as for the shows The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project and Idol Producer. Woodz released his fourth extended play Colorful Trauma on May 4, 2022, with the lead single "I Hate You". Woodz's exclusive contract with Yuehua Entertainment expired on October 19, 2022,and he was revealed to have signed an exclusive contract with EDAM Entertainment on October 25. In February 2023, EDAM Entertainment released a new teaser for the song "Abyss" from Woodz's fifth EP. He has been performing his mandatory military service as an active soldier since January 22, 2024. As a solo artist, Woodz has been involved in writing all of his lyrics and producing most of his music. In the early stages of his career, Woodz's musical style gravitated towards hip hop, with his releases under the name Luizy also incorporating pop and electronic music. However, the change of his stage name as a soloist to Woodz in 2018 was accompanied by a change in musical direction, described by Status Magazine as an "evolution into a more realized identity". Woodz is really one of a kind. As for groups, I recommend Onewe. Their sound is crazy good, and their main vocalist has an amazing voice! Edit: Woodz gave a real live performance of drowning a few days ago and I HIGHLY recommend you listen to it in your own time. I dare say that it's even better than the one you listened to because it's more "live"
