Shelfy bunting at the end of the first over is an underrated bad play. It kept Plouffe off strike at the start of the next over, which was Knorp's maiden. By the time Plouffe got back up to strike, the momentum had already completely switched.

@@wojciechbieniek4029 I highly doubt that. In Blitzball they have a 70mph limit vs just 40 in BIP. A blitzball is a hard ball vs the soft BIP ball. The only potential I could see using the BIP throwing technique in Blitzball is on slow pitches, if that, because I'm not sure that would even work.

I think its odd that you win 5 points for a quarterfinal win. And then the difference between 1st and 2nd place is only a difference of 3 points. So winning a quarterfinal game is worth more in the warehouse cup than winning a championship.

Penik has been good, but i will say that im not sure whether he had communicated with Shelfy enough to make sure that they had Trevor back up at striker at the beginning second over 12:40. This could have just been a lapse in strategy on Shelfy’s part though. Curious to see if that’s acknowledged during the postgame.

39:17 They still haven't fixed the economy stats for fractional overs. They're just dividing by 1.2 or 2.2 instead of by 8/6 or 14/6, since the ".2" represents one-third of an over, not one-fifth. Quite possibly, the error is because that's how they're entered into a spreadsheet. I and at least one other person have complained about this since at least Game 3. I'm not sure what the lead time is for the stats appearing in the videos...or if anyone from Jomboy has even seen these comments. Ultimately, it's not that important and they may decide it's not worth fixing.

Their tournaments are over before they even start to put the videos out. I think they played this tournament from start to finish in like 5 consecutive days. Any feedback in comments couldn't be implemented until a future tournament. I hope they get it right for the next one.

Loved this match and was great to see live! I don't think it would've necessarily changed how this game went, but the designated runner rule feels like an overpowered actual benefit for the hitter - you could see Luke was way more relaxed without having to think about running after hitting, plus not being the best BiP runner himself. Not a huge deal here but imagine that happening in a championship game, it'd be rough. But i guess there isn't a straightforward way to deal with it so fair enough!

The Mankad Dismissal should have been NOT OUT! You have to give the batter a warning first for stepping out of the crease and you also aren't allowed to "fake" the bowling action - similar to a balk

No warning needed (that's too old school for me), but that's a balk. The pitching action has been completed. Cricket rules says mankading is fine until the point you would normally release.

It's been driving me crazy how much the commentators have been praising his "strategy." Frankly his advice to be aggressive with running when they were chasing 67 off of 18 (along with his dismissive "that's not our game" about an EMPTY back wall) was some of the worst possible in that situation.

What does a wide do? I thought it was just 1 point but the announcers were saying it was better than a 4?

It's 1 point and that doesn't count to the pitch count. So in an over there's a max points to gain of 36. However, if there's wides you can get more (36 + number of wides). So towards the end of a game if you can't get enough runs through sixes or fours alone you need to hope for some wides as well as fours and sixes.

@@FilmColossus no in theory if they keep on missing it can go on forever. Obviously relying upon wides is not a reliable strategy but in theory. There's always going to be 6 good pitches per over no matter how many wides are thrown. So the over never ends until there's 6 good ones.
